ArtCOP21
This has been a great week to experience an unending array of different artworks all attempting to communicate the concept of global warming. There has also been a range of inspiring talks.
My favourite artist of the moment, Olafur Eliasson, presented icewatchparis.com. While I agree that these art objects are a tool for a cultural dialogue, I do have to question the amount of energy expended to bring the ice to the streets of Paris from Greenland.
This opportunity has allowed a sedimentation of thoughts and ideas in my mind, concerning the purpose of my works as they relate to the Anthropocene, that will be written about over the weeks to come.
This concludes Anthropocene Interventions I.
