The gift infiltrated daily life in Paris. Engaging with people in shops was the easiest method of distribution. Random gifting was difficult as people were guarded in the street and on the metro so I did not attempt this. I also left the gifts in some places where it would be seen and hopefully taken rather than immediately binned.

Badiou, the French philosopher, talks about change occurring through an ‘event’. This ‘event’ of gifting is nested within the ArtCOP21 ‘event’ and the ‘event’ we are experiencing called the Anthropocene.
